After the capitulation of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in 2023, almost its entire population had fled.

After the capitulation of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in 2023, almost the entire population of the listed places Martakert, Martuni and Stepanakert had fled. The same happend in Şuşa in 2020.
The 2019 and 2025 figures are computed by »City Population« taking the de facto urban population of districts according to the 2019 census as well as the 2023 and 2025 de jure estimates of towns and settlements. For Nagorno-Karabakh, end-of-2019 estimates are reported. The 2002 and 2011 estimates are de jure figures.
